Axe Winchester axe vintage with new 18 in American Hickory handle

This Winchester Axe has been cleaned of rust and the edge sharpened .Good bit of pitting but that gives it a lot of character.The handle is new of American Hickory hand sanded smooth and treated with linseed oil.The handle has been given a dark stain to match the character of the axe.Winchester bought the Mack Axe company sometime after WWI ,to produce there own axes.Winchester expanded ther product line to include many things fishing reels ,wrenches etc...There slogan for these non gun products was "As good as the Gun"
