Vintage LL Bean Axe hudson bay axe with axe with Penobscot bay handle

LL Bean Hudson Bay axe on its original Penobscot Bay style handle. The head has been cleaned of dirt and rust and the edge sharpened. The handle was originally painted, but the paint had become worn and dirty. So that paint was removed and the handle has been hand sanded smooth and treated with orange oil and beeswax to help preserve the strength and integrity of the wood and bring out the natural character inherent in the wood. This axe comes with a custom, handmade leather sheath.
