Vintage Plumb Hatchet - Boy Scouts of America Plumb hatchet on an Original Scout Axe handle with hand stitched leather sheath

Vintage Boy Scouts of America hatchet has been cleaned and sharpened and hung on an original Scout axe handle .The handle is an original American Hickory Scout axe handle which has been sanded smooth and hand rubbed with orange oil and beeswax . The leather sheath was hand stitched from 8/9 oz leather using white Tiger thread and finished off with silver rivets and snap .The leather was dyed a deep Red and treated with Obenaufs Heavy Duty Leather Preservative . The overall length is 13 inches and weighs 1 lb 8 oz .
