Vintage Plumb hatchet has been cleaned and sharpened .The new American Hickory handle has been hand sanded smooth and hand rubbed with orange oil and beeswax .The leather sheath is 8/9 oz leather hand stitched with black Tiger Thread and dyed a rich saddle tan color .The leather sheath was treated with Obenaufs Heavy Duty Leather Preservative .Overall length is 14 inches and weighs 2 lbs

Had high expectations to begin with, and was even more pleased with this hatchet once I had it in my hands. The handle is perfect, and the cutting edge came extremely sharp. Put it to heavy use right away and was very impressed. Great restoration!
