Craftsman Hatchet with custom leather sheath overstrike guard and belt hanger

Craftsman hatchet has been cleaned and sharpened , the handle has been hand sanded smooth and treated with orange oil and beeswax . The custom leather sheath , belt hanger and overstrike guard are made from 8/9 oz veg tan leather and given a saddle tan finish using Fiebings pro dye and the leather was treated with Bickmore Heavy Duty leather preservative . The leather sheath has a bonded welt and has been secured with copper rivets and burrs . The overstrike guard was fastened with leather lace . Length is 14 inches , weight is 2 lb 4 oz and the cutting edge is 3 5/16 inches .
